FTE: 0.8 FTE – 1.0 FTE
Location: Remote, Netherlands or UK
Contract: Maternity cover (4-6 months) with the potential to transition into a permanent position
Start Date: October 2026

Seuss+ is the team biotech and pharma sponsors call when clinical trials risk going off track.

We solve clinical trial challenges for biotech and pharma organizations, bringing the right vendors, contracts, systems, and ways of working together to support critical milestones, regulatory compliance, and clear decision-making. More than consultants, we work as strategic partners, bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to each phase of clinical development.

    About The Role

As an Inside Sales Specialist at Seuss+, your core responsibility will be to build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and potential clients.

You’ll work with biotech and pharma sponsors to understand their current challenges, future needs, and clinical development priorities. From there, you’ll help connect them with the Seuss+ services and solutions that are most relevant to their situation, with the aim of strengthening vendor relationships and supporting successful clinical trial delivery.

This role is built for someone who understands that there is no one-size-fits-all approach in life sciences. You’ll need to listen carefully, ask the right questions, and build relationships in a human, transparent, and commercially aware way.

Alongside your client-facing responsibilities, you’ll be expected to contribute to the Seuss+ culture and work in line with our values. Following internal processes, maintaining accurate records, and completing required training are essential parts of the role.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identifying, qualifying, and following up on leads within the life sciences market, with a focus on biotech and pharma companies.
    • Managing and keeping HubSpot up to date, including leads, contact moments, pipeline status, and reporting.
    • Building and maintaining relationships with Clinical Operations Managers, CSOs, CDOs, and other relevant client contacts.
    • Supporting preparation for conferences and industry events, including identifying relevant contacts and booking meetings in advance.
    • Conducting market research to identify new opportunities, market developments, and competitors.
    • Working closely with the Business Development team to support the handover of qualified leads into promising opportunities
    •  Reaching out to prospective clients who interact with Seuss+ through the website, including those downloading flyers, whitepapers, and other materials.
    • Contacting prospective clients through conferences, events, and online channels, using HubSpot to manage activity and follow-up.
    • Following up on proposals and maintaining client relationships to keep prospective clients engaged with Seuss+.
    • Collaborating with the Marketing team by sharing industry insights, supporting consistent messaging, and helping keep Seuss+ Capability Decks up to date.

What is VRMM and how it shapes the role

At Seuss+, our work with clients is structured around the Vendor Relationship Maximization Method, or VRMM.

VRMM is our five-stage system developed through more than 14 years of hands-on experience supporting biotech and pharma sponsors. It covers the vendor relationship from early strategy and vendor selection through contracting, governance, oversight, performance management, and closeout.

As an Inside Sales Specialist, you won’t be expected to deliver VRMM consulting projects yourself. You will, however, need to understand the challenges VRMM addresses and be able to connect those challenges with the right Seuss+ expertise.

That means understanding what may sit behind a prospect’s immediate request. A sponsor asking about CRO selection may also be dealing with limited internal capacity, tight timelines, contract questions, governance concerns, or upcoming funding milestones.

Your role is to listen carefully, ask the right questions, and help create a strong connection between the client’s needs and the Seuss+ team best placed to support them.

    Qualifications and experience

    • 1–2 years of experience within a CRO, life sciences service organization, or consulting firm supporting life sciences clients.
    • Strong knowledge of the life sciences industry, particularly biotech, pharma, CRO, or related service environments.
    • An established network within Clinical Operations is essential.
    • An international network across Europe and the US is highly desirable.
    • B2B experience in a similar commercial, inside sales, business development, or client-facing role within life sciences.

    Qualifications and experience

    • You listen actively, show empathy, and are motivated to keep learning and improving.
    • You are approachable, self-motivated, and comfortable taking ownership of your work.
    • You are commercially aware and understand how to build relationships that support business growth.
    • You build strong relationships with people inside and outside the organization.
    • You communicate with diplomacy and tact, including in more challenging situations.
    • You are comfortable planning and coordinating activities, making timely decisions, and keeping work moving toward agreed outcomes.

    Hiring process

After your application, you’ll be invited to an initial interview with our Director of Group Services, Susan Braakman.

Following a successful first conversation, you may be asked to complete a short Predictive Index assessment. This helps us understand how you naturally work, communicate, make decisions, and respond to your environment. There are no right or wrong profiles. We use the assessment to build balanced teams and support people in working effectively within their roles.

A separate read-out will be planned to discuss your profile and give you further insight into the results.

The next stage will include conversations with members of the commercial team and senior leadership. As part of the final stage, you may also be asked to complete a practical assignment related to prospect research, lead qualification, or client outreach.
