The first episode in our new Seuss+ Talks series discussed the Top 5 Best Practices in CRO Selection for Biotech and was hosted by our very own Co-Founder Kieran Canisius.

We caught up with Kieran moments after her webinar debut to catch her thoughts and energy from our first LIVE webinar. Live webinars aren’t always convenient for everyone, but you don’t have to miss it. Sign up to watch the replay here.

Behind the Scenes with Kieran Canisius

How were you feeling before the Webinar went live?

Even though it’s a topic I could talk about for days, I was certainly feeling the nerves. I ’ve never hosted a LIVE webinar before, and you just don’t know what to expect or who is watching.

What do you hope viewers took away from the first episode?

For Biotechs, the challenge of finding the right CRO is tough. And I’m hoping that my years of experience and the lessons I’ve learnt along the way will help minimise their challenges.

What was your favourite part of the webinar?

Well, of course, the fact that we had actual viewers! You can’t help but wonder if anyone is really going to tune in or will I just be stood in front of a camera talking to myself.

Not being able to see your audience was a totally new experience, and for some reason it makes you feel quite vulnerable.

I really enjoyed the Q&A interaction, I could tell the topic really had people engaged.

In the end, it was a lot of fun and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would – But I still prefer standing in front of an audience in person.

How do you feel now that your webinar debut is over?

I can’t wait to hear what people thought, the good, the bad and of course, the ugly.

Seuss+ Talks doesn’t want to become just another biotech webinar, it’s really important we deliver on our promise to bring relevant and influential conversations. That’s why I’m happy for viewers to send me feedback directly to

What can we expect next from the Seuss Talks series?

Well, I don’t want to give too much away, but we’ll have a new guest host and other trending industry topic up for discussion.
